Fiber Reinforced Plastics

SI-TUFF™ SF-7 Performance Ceramic Additive can be used to reinforce random fiber composites with exceptional isotropic properties. Experience high modulus, toughness, and hardness not achievable with glass, carbon, or aramid fibers.

SF-7 is a discrete fiber of pure, β-silicon carbide, one of the toughest materials known to man. It is compatible with all known composite production processes, including wet laid techniques.

SI-TUFF™ is non-reactive and inert, and has excellent environmental resistance and temperature stability. It is not flammable, will not age, and maintains its properties over time. As such, it can be used in any environment that high performance composites are used in.
